The Nursery

The nursery is mostly complete. The only things left to do require getting a few things off of our registry (i.e. our curtains and the changing pad for the changing table). The curtain that is hanging down now is just a piece of thin material for show but will not actually work as a curtain to block out any light. Just a few other side notes. MOST of the things in the nursery have been handmade by me and my super talented mother. Hope everyone enjoys our VERY GIRLY nursery!!!  Oh and the most important thing that is missing is the sweet little baby girl who will call this room hers!
The Grand entrance to my sweet baby's nursery.

Bow Holder. The cute frame came from my sil Stacia and I just added the ribbons to hold more flowers and bows. (and I'm waiting for her to get here to put HER picture in the frame.)

The changing table and mirror that I wanted before I ever found out I was pregnant.

The glider was a thrift store find that we painted and I recovered cushions from a different glider to complete the piece.

The valence was handmade and the Kim Anderson picture on the wall was one I had in my room growing up.

My super handy husband made all of the circles and put them up for me.

The Crib with Mr. Moose

The bumper was probably the longest project that ended up being more difficult than anticipated, but with my mom's help we managed to complete it and I think it looks rather lovely. The crib skirt was also handmade to match.
This piece is actually very special in that the pink box was my mom's toy box growing up. She gave it to me and told me I could do whatever with it. We decided to take the top off, turn it sideways, make it into a storage box / bench. I made a cushion for the top and bought two storage boxes at the amazing IKEA. Below are a few before pictures of the box.

The super cute fabric flowers my mom made that show up on the mirror and the lamp shade.

This is the best full room shot I could get. The hanging light is also an IKEA find that we modified a tad to match the room and cover the orange/red part on the bottom that clashed.

And a belly shot. I did not mean to complete blend in with the room but I guess I kind of do. HAHA! 35 Weeks! Only 5 more to go!!!
