  1. First, I think you’re a smart and thoughtful mommy for getting your dd’s her ears pierced as an infant. She will thank you later for the “gift of pierced ears.”

Second, like you, I am in favor of infant ear piercing and absolutely swoon over tiny baby girls with those little diamond studs in their earlobes. Not only do I think it is Adorable with a capital A, it also helps little bald baby girls like my Sandi to say “I am a girl!!" I had a similar experience in deciding when to have my dd's ears pierced too. I was a bit nervous, but changed my mind after seeing so many babies and little girls with cute earrings.

Third, I know cerebrally, as mothers of girls of all ages, we know it celebrates their femaleness and femininity. After all, they are little girls, right?

Lastly, our ped encouraged me to have our daughter's ears pierced when mommy could care for them and allow them to heal properly. She gave me some ” Tips for moms having their dd’s ears pierced and ” Care for Newly Pierced Ears” since she had so many moms ask about having their infants and little girls ears pierced.

If any other moms are unsure or need some research, then write me an e-mail. They include OTC meds to minimize any discomfort as well as how to find the most experienced person to pierce her
    ears.

  2. Thanks for the support. I happened to read an article yesterday about somebody trying to make Ear piercing illegal for children under 18. I figure to each their own as long as the child is cared for and loved. Thanks for the support. 3. Abi,

Couldn't agree more with your response to my blog comment and thoughts about the "crazies" wanting to ban baby ear piercing.

Saw in one of your pictures you had a lovely pierced nose. There is something you might be able to help me decide and you might be exactly the right person to ask. I'm thinking about it after my SIL had gotten hers done and came to visit earlier this month. After she left, I have to admit, I l-o-v-e-d it! During Susie's visit, I thought that I noticed my hubby admiring her little nose stud, but I was hesitant to ask since he is so conservative. After she left, I got up enough courage to ask my husband what he thought of his sister with a nose ring? Much to my surprise, the first thing my husband said to me was “Um – you have the perfect nose for a piercing... I love it and it would make you look "29 again [I'm...34]."

I've become a bit obsessed with having my nose pierced, but do my homework and research. Am looking for some advice before having it done. Wonder you'd be kind enough to write me an e-mail so I might ask you a few questions that would help me decide?
